Maxwell Dye
Kenai’s Maxwell Dye of Marian University tied for the third-lowest round after the first two days of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship in Irish Haven, Wisconsin.
The junior golfer fired a 77 and 82 for a 36-hole total of 159 to put him 10th out of 53 men’s golfers halfway through the NCAA D3 tournament.
Dye, of Kenai Central High fame, has shot 77 or better in four of seven rounds this season.
His average round is 78.1, which is right on par with his other two seasons.
The final two rounds of the NACC Championship will be held at Stonebridge Country Club April 26-27.
