Kana Mateaki excelled in soccer and as a linebacker in flag football at Dimond High School. As a junior, she helped the Lynx to state championships in both sports and racked up multiple team MVPs and all-tournament honors throughout her career. Her senior soccer season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Kana will attend Eastern Oregon University to play soccer and study to become a physical therapist or podiatrist. During her college years, she also plans to serve a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
