Kamryn Frisk

Anchorage’s Kamryn Frisk and Aleah Rohde don’t go to the same college, but they both compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and both were recognized as winners of the 12th annual NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award.

Frisk is a senior softball player at the University of Minnesota Crookston and Rohde is a senior swimmer at the University of Sioux Falls.

This academic award is given to athletes who have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher, are exhausting their eligibility and are on track to graduate.

Each winner will be recognized by the NSIC with a certificate of achievement and a wristwatch.

Frisk, of Service High fame, is a dual threat for Minnesota Crookston as a pitcher and hitter.

Aleah Rohde

She joined the team late summer before the 2020 season and started eight of 11 games before COVID hit and shut down sports.

She went 2-4 in the circle with a 3.69 ERA in 36.0 innings. At the plate, she hit .200 with five runs, five walks and six RBIs.

Rohde, of Dimond High fame, is a do-it-all individual medley swimmer who has qualified for the NSIC championships in each of her first three years in college.

Just last week, she helped Sioux Falls capture its school-record 18 straight win in a dual meet.
