Aaron Fletcher of Anchorage was named the Alaska Athlete of the Week after sweeping all three race titles of the Alaska Distance Classic in dominating fashion.

Fletcher won the 5-kilometer race and the 10-kilometer race, which made him the men’s Double Up champion.

Fletcher, who competed in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials earlier this year, won the 5K race by almost two and a half minutes with a time of 15:45, then followed that effort up by winning the 10K  in 32:50. His combined time of 48:35 which was nearly 10 minutes faster than the runner-up.
