Sydney Dray

With the end of her college volleyball career in sight, Dillingham’s Sydney Dray has turned it on.

By going off.

The Haskell Indian Nations University senior has doubled her kills and digs averages over the last four matches to lead the NAIA team into the winner’s circle for the first time this year.

Haskell started the season 0-16 before Dray put the team on her back and carried it to three straight victories and a five-set loss.

She averaged 13.3 kills and 14.8 digs over that four-match stretch, doubling her season averages of 5.6 kills and 6.1 digs up to that point.

During that stretch she posted a career- highs 17 kills against Crowley’s Ridge – the most for her since 2019 – and 19 digs against Lincoln Christian – the most for her since 2018.

Dray, of Dillingham High fame, has also recently surpassed the 500-kill, 500-dig career milestones.
