Runners have a second chance to sign up for the Crow Pass Crossing.
The iconic backcountry race from Girdwood to the Eagle River Nature Center was originally scheduled for July 23rd but wit record-breaking rainfall during the week leading up to the race causing high and fluctuating river levels at the racer crossing site, organizers postponed the event to August 7th.
Registration is currently open at Crow Pass Crossing website. Race spots that have opened up are available to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis.
This year’s race field include 2021 champions Scott Patterson and Christy Marvin.
Registration fees support Healthy Futures, a statewide program working to help youth around Alaska build the habit of daily physical activity. Healthy Futures is a program of the 501(c)3 non-profit Alaska Sports Hall of Fame.
