In a 40-day span from early June to mid-July, pro poker player Adam Hendrix of Anchorage has cashed in 16 different events to earn nearly $580,000.

Hendrix’s latest big haul came Friday at the 53rd annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, where he finished fourth among 756 players in the $5,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold ‘em 8-Handed event to collect $211,295.

Hendrix’s finish marked the 13th time he has cashed in this WSOP and his eighth career Top 10 at the WSOP, and his third WSOP Top 10 this summer. In all, he owns about 70 career cashes in WSOP and WSOP circuit events since he quit his job as a software engineer to become a full-time poker player in 2017.

His 13 cashes in the most prestigious tournament in the game have earned him $316,888 this summer. In addition, he has cashed in three other Vegas tournaments, including his win in a field of 1,446 at the Wynn Summer Classic’s $1,600 No-Limit event to pocket $257,885. That marked Hendrix’s fifth career victory.

According to cardplayer.com, Hendrix has generated career earnings of nearly $3.6 million. He currently sits 13th in the cardplayer.com Player of the Year standings.

The WSOP, which started May 31 and wraps on Wednesday, features 102 different events.

Fifty Alaskans have cashed at this WSOP for a total of 75 finishes in the money.

Hendrix owns the four most lucrative finishes by an Alaskan in this WSOP with cashes worth, respectively, $211K, 31K, 26K and 26K.
