Juneau football player Jamal Johnson’s huge day helped lead the Huskies past the Colony High and earned him Alaska Athlete of the Week honors.

The senior logged 337 rushing yards  on 25 carries in a 42-13 victory in a battle of unbeaten schools.

Combing strength and agility, the 5-foot-8, 183-pound running back scored three touchdowns on runs of 45, 7 and 59 yards and added another highlight reel run of 62 yards.

It was the most yardage by a Juneau player in 17 years.
