Are you ready for some playoff football?
The state playoffs kick off Friday for ASAA Division I, Division II and Division III teams all over Alaska.
The West Eagles won the Cook Inlet Conference title and will be the No. 1 seed for the Division I playoffs.
They will host Juneau, the eighth seed who had won the CIC in 2022 and 2021, and reached last season’s First National Bowl.
Defending state champion Colony is the No. 3 seed.
Here is how first-round matchups shake out:
The Division II tournament has expanded to eight teams, with Soldotna and Lathrop taking the top seeds. Soldotna is the No. 1 seed at 8-0 while defending state champion Lathrop is the No. 2 seed at 6-2, with its losses coming to Soldotna and West.
The Division III tournament is still four teams, with Kenai Central taking the No. 1 seed with a 6-2 record. The Kardinals’ two losses came by a total of three points, including an 8-6 setback to No. 2 Barrow.
