Anchorage football player Deuce Zimmerman hauled in 11 catches for 124 yards and four touchdowns for Western New Mexico in in a 41-34 loss to Eastern New Mexico in NCAA Division II football.
He scored on catches of 11, 10, 11 and 5 yards to become the fifth Alaskan to record four TDs in a single college game, the first at receiver.
His historic performance earns him our Alaska Athlete of the Week honors.

- Danny Bagnole – The Anchorage Wolverines second-year forward f scored his sixth goal of the season with 0.8 seconds left in overtime to lift the Wolverines to a thrilling 5-4 victory over the Wisconsin Windigo.
- Oschaun Easaw – The Lathrop HS running back rushed for 246 yards and scored his state-best 23rd rushing TD of the season in a 49-28 loss to Soldotna in the Division II First National Bowl. Easaw finished the season with 2,039 yards.
- Kendall Kramer – The UAF Nanook runner collected her third-consecutive GNAC title, covering the six-kilometer course in 20 minutes, 32 seconds. The senior’s time was the third-quickest in GNAC Championship history, averaging a blistering 5:30 per mile.
