University of Alaska Fairbanks senior Kendall Kramer capped a decorated collegiate cross-country running career with a national runner-up finish at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships, earning her Alaska Athlete of the Week honors.
The West Valley grad left everything on the six kilometer course in Sacramento, Calif.
By the fifth kilometer she moved up nearly 30 places into the top five, and over the final kilometer the Nanook made another surge but ran out of real estate, finishing in 20 minutes, 30 seconds and 2.2 seconds behind the winner.
Kramer collected her third All-American honor, after finishing 8th (2022) and 23rd (2023).
