Ketchikan Post 3 baseball player Ace Asper pitched a 2-hit shutout and carried a no-hit bid into the seventh inning in a 2-0 win over Eagle River.
The durable pitcher/infielder, who is a 2026 Ketchikan High School graduate, struck out seven batters and threw 89 pitches.
Asper’s performance earns him our Alaska Athlete of the Week honors.

- Connor Monahan – The Service Post 28 baseball player struck out nine batters in six scoreless innings in an 8-1 win over Fairbanks. Two days earlier, he went 2-for-4 with four RBIs in a 7-7 tie against Wasilla.
