Meg Inokuma of Palmer reset her own course record at the Resurrection Pass Ultras 100-miler, winning in 18 hours, 51 minutes.
The 46-year-old has now set a new female record in Alaska’s premier 100-mile running event for the third consecutive year.
Inokuma lopped a colossal 108 minutes off her mark set last summer. She placed second overall, less than an hour behind Czech Republic ultra marathoner Jan Sunka, who established a new overall course record.

- Timothy Bridgman – The Palmer baseball player carried his American Legion team to its first win at the Alaska state tournament since 2021, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs at the plate and pitching all five innings in an 11-1 win over top-seeded Auke Bay on Sunday.
- Shannon Gress – Gress, 41, of Juneau was crowned Alaska Marathon Champion on Saturday, winning the women’s title at the Juneau Marathon. Gress set a new women’s master division record of 2:55:2, besting the mark she set last year. placed fourth overall.
- Allie Ostrander – The runner from Soldotna crushed the course record at the Deseret News 10K in Salt Lake City, clocking a scorching time of 30 minutes, 50 seconds. It was the fastest recorded 10K time by an Alaska woman, regardless of conditions
- Jayden Stuyvesant –The Kenai baseball player led his American Legion team to a 2-0 start at the state tournament after batting 5-for-8 with three extra-base hits and seven RBIs.
