The Region III Championships kick off in Kenai this weekend, hosted by the Kardinals from May 20-21st at the Ed Hollier Stadium. Kodiak, Soldotna, Wasilla, Palmer, and Colony will vie for the 4A region title, while ACS, Grace, Homer, Houston, Kenai, Nikiski, Redington, and Seward will battle in the 1-2-3A Division. Winners from the individual events and relays will receive automatic state berths, while the remaining qualifiers will be chosen based on times/marks.
