Abilene Christian junior Whitney Williams of Anchorage remained undefeated in doubles in Southland Conference action with another victory against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

That win, coupled with her victory at No. 3 singles the same day, pushed the tennis star over the century mark in career victories for the NCAA D1 school in Texas.

Williams, of South High fame, has collected 101 career wins to join a very select group of Alaska woman who have racked up triple digit win totals.

Anchorage’s Emma Lewis won 125 matches at Bowdoin College and Anchorage’s Tabtip Louhabanjong posted 101 wins at Indiana University.

Williams and doubles partner Lucile Pothier have won nine straight matches and own an 11-2 record overall. She is 17-7 in singles this year.

She has been selected all-league in each of the last two seasons in the Southland Conference and is sure to be named all-conference again this year.
