Alev Kelter of Eagle River extended her personal scoring streak to eight games after producing points in three victories by Team USA Eagles at the World Rugby Sevens Series in Dubai.

The halfback accounted for 23 of her team’s 96 points in wins over Brazil, Russia and Canada in the early stages of the tournament.

The 2016 Olympian is currently the Dubai tournament’s top-ranked player with an 89 rating.

She racked up 16 points on two 5-point tries and three 2-point conversions in a 33-14 win over Russia. She had two conversions in a 29-7 win over Brazil and cashed in on one try in a 34-10 win over Canada.

Kelter, of Chugiak High fame, leads Team USA in scoring with 59 points on the season.

Team USA is 8-0 during her eight-game scoring streak, signifying her awesome impact.

This is nothing new.

Since joining Team USA in 2014, Kelter leads all American sevens rugby players with 690 points. Her career total is 280 points more than the second highest and triples the third highest.

Dubai is the second of eight World Rugby Sevens Series events, with the tour concluding in May in Paris, France.
