Anchorage’s Kamryn Frisk couldn’t have scripted a better beginning to her softball career at the University of Minnesota Crookston.

With her team trailing 4-3 in the fourth inning, Frisk was brought into the game as a pinch-hitter with two outs and the bases loaded.

The junior transfer cleared the bases with a single as part of a 2-for-2 effort at the plate as Crookston beat Black Hills State 10-5 in Minot, North Dakota.

Frisk, of Service High fame, stayed in the game and moved to the pitching circle, where she threw the final four innings to pick up the save.

She scattered four hits and racked up her only strikeout to end the game.

Frisk transferred from Northwest Kansas Tech and finished her JUCO career with a .355 batting average in 63 games.
