Ruthy Hebard of Fairbanks was named Alaska Athlete of the Week after helping the Chicago Sky beat the Phoenix Mercury 3-games-to-1 in the best-of-5 series to win the WNBA title.

It was the first championship in the 16 years of the franchise and the former West Valley Wolfpack standout became the first Alaska player to win a WNBA title.

The former All-American at the University of Oregon averaged career highs in minutes (16.8), points (5.8) and rebounds (4.4) this season.
