Alaska’s new snowboarding queen Callan Chythlook-Sifsof advanced to the X Games finals in women’s boardercross tonight, continuing her run of success this week.
Chythlook-Sifsof, of Girdwood by way of Dillingham, placed sixth in Friday’s qualifying on Day 2 of the X Games in Aspen, Colo. The top 12 advanced to the finals, televised Saturday afternoon on ESPN.
On Monday, the 20-year-old was named to the U.S. Olympic Team that will participate in the Vancouver Games in two weeks.
