It feels like only yesterday that Miami Heat guard Mario Chalmers of Anchorage was celebrating his second straight NBA title.
But he’s already planning for a three-peat.
Chalmers, of Bartlett High, will be back in Miami for a sixth year this fall and although he didn’t exactly call his shot, he does see it being a make-or-break season with question marks surrounding the future of the Big 3.
“Next year is going to be a good year – a big year at that,” Chalmers told the Kansas City Star. “We are going for the three-peat, and you know, next summer, basically our whole team is up.
“This might be our last hurrah together, so we’re going to go out with a bang.”
