Abilene Christian University tennis player Whitney Williams of Anchorage has been victorious 21 times this season as a freshman at the NCAA D1 level.
It has been one of the best college seasons by a player from Alaska, but she isn’t finished.
Williams, of South High fame, will conclude the Southland Conference season this weekend before Abilene Christian concludes the season at the iconic Ojai Tournament.
She is 12-7 in doubles, including 7-1 in league play with fellow freshman Erin Walker. The duo won 8-3 last night against Texas A&M Corpus Christi in the No. 2 slot.
Williams is 9-6 in singles after falling in three sets to AMCC in a tough match at No. 4.
Abilene Christian is 11-6 in dual meets this season, including 6-4 in the Southland Conference.
