Anchorage’s Julia Rumley is off to the best start in her Grinnell College tennis career.
The senior baseliner has won eight of her first 10 matches for the NCAA D3 school in Iowa and surpassed the 80-win milestone in the process.
Rumley, of East High fame, is 1-0 in singles and 7-2 in doubles.
She and partner Syndey Banach went 3-0 at No. 3 doubles last weekend by outscoring the opposition 24-2.
Rumley is 81-44 for her college career.
She is 37-16 in singles and 44-28 in doubles.
