Burghart pulls out 3-set singles win, improves to 6-3 in Big Sky

The tennis season hasn’t always gone exactly the way Eastern Washington University junior Rendell Burghart of Anchorage wanted.

He has lost more matches than he has won overall this season, but he never stopped fighting and was dropping sets to tiebreakers.

His hard work was rewarded against Montana State.

Burghart, of Dimond High fame, rallied for a 4-6, 7-6, 10-7 win over Dylan Harvala at No. 6 singles.

The Alaskan improved to 6-3 in the Big Sky Conference, 7-15 overall.
