Jack Heun Mixed Martial Arts MMA

Jake Heun

Even in defeat, Palmer’s Jake Heun reminds us how tough he is.

The 29-year-old suffered his first loss by knockout in 16 career professional fights after his mixed martial arts bout was stopped at World Series of Fighting 34 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Ten-win fighter Smealinho Rama of Greece won by strikes after the referee called for the TKO at 3:30 of the second round.

Heun, of Palmer High fame, saw his record drop to 10-6 since turning pro in 2011 after finishing his football career at the University of Hawaii.

For five years, nobody could knock this guy out.

This was Heun’s sixth appearance in the World Series of Fighting, falling to 3-3 with the premier promotion.

Of his 10 career victories, four have come via knockout by the one they call ‘The Honey Bear.’
