Dajan Treder
Dajan Treder of Anchorage was the top finisher for the University of Providence women’s wrestling team at the Women’s Collegiate Wrestling Association’s championships in Marietta, Georgia.
She placed fifth out of 37 competitors in the 123-pound weight class to lead the NAIA Argos to a 15th-place finish out of 36 teams.
Treder, of West High fame, beat Tiana Jackson of Menlo College 6-5 in the fifth-place match.
In the quarterfinals, Treder rallied from a 7-0 deficit to post a 10-8 win over No. 3 Sierra Powell of Life University.
